Production Operations Manager – IMMEDIATE NEED

Direct Hire; up to 100K + bonus

Pearland, TX

**Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED 


  • Promote safe working environment with exceptional leadership in EH&S Programs
  • Prepare/package/distribute products by supervising staff; organize and monitor work flow
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist in shipping/receiving products and materials
  • Set and obtain aggressively realistic goals
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for time and attendance, performance reviews and conflict resolution
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; develop personal growth opportunities
  • Ensure resources meet customer requirements and internal business metrics (productivity, overtime costs, and SOP compliance)
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of process
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensure optimal operation of equipment; evaluate new equipment and techniques
  • Ensure departments work together to address production delays, quality excursions, or equipment outages; troubleshoot production problems
  • Lead operational portion of maintenance workflow management through approval and prioritization of work requests, equipment preparation for work, etc.
  • Provide manufacturing info by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answer questions and respond to requests
  • Create and revise systems and procedures
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment; maintain compliance with policies and procedures
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action
  • Package and ship hazardous/non-hazardous chemicals
  • Manage daily interdepartmental transactions and adjustments
  • Maintain excellent communication with sales, customer service and planning departments
  • Assure quality of products, accuracy of weight/quantity of repackaged products, accuracy and promptness of filling orders, cleanliness of production area and product


  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College/ University or related preferred; high school diploma required
  • 3+ years’ experience as Production Supervisor/Production Manager  
  • 5+ years of Production Manufacturing or Chemical Distribution industry experience required
  • Strong decision-making ability, balancing customer needs and company objectives
  • Chempax or related ERP systems preferred; Strong Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; self-starter; team spirited; action oriented
  • Strong employee relations and problem-solving; committed to accuracy and quality; fast-paced environment, prioritize, and great follow through
  • Excellent understanding of chemical processing and material handling equipment; risk manager
  • Knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations and disciplines of manufacturing management

Other Info:

  • Must be able to work 10-hour weekday shifts with occasional nights, weekends or holidays when required
  • Must be able to pass all of Drug & Alcohol Screening, a thorough background check, and a credit check
