Live-In House Manager

Direct Hire; up to 125K + bonus

Bryan/College Station

***Must be willing to travel for annual extended stay in New York (end of June through Sept. 1st)

***Must have formal service experience for special occasions

***Must be dog friendly

***Formal surroundings but don’t live super formally  

Duties:

  • Oversee general operation of estate home
  • Oversee and train 2 full-time housekeepers in daily duties of cleaning the residence
  • Manage household’s schedules
  • Schedule and coordinate home maintenance and repair work in partnership with Facilities Director            
  • Oversee outside vendors working in the home
  • Arrange calendars and appointments for family’s personal and professional needs
  • Handle event planning to include organizing and coordination
  • Assist with travel arrangements
  • Coordinate with caretakers in Florida/NY on matters needing attention from time to time
  • Travel occasionally with family to assist in operation of out-of-state residences
  • Assist in coordinating and serving at formal dinner parties
  • Shop for food, supplies, and other requested items
  • Run errands and perform necessary tasks
  • Create, review, and update manuals necessary for house management for staff

Qualifications:

  • Household and/or Estate Management professional training highly preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite and technology savvy
  • Strong moral character, integrity, and respectful of privacy and confidential matters
  • Authenticity and a servitude mindset; polished, professional, and articulate
  • Must be forward thinking and anticipate needs
  • Managerial experience, preferably in a highly professional private home or high-end hospitality environment
  • Good knowledge of cleaning methods and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Good planning and organizational skills; self-motivation, strong communication
  • Skilled in formal dining service with professional etiquette REQUIRED; floral arranging

Other Info:

 

  • Possibly light meal preparation occasionally
  • Will contribute to relocation and flexibility on base pay for the “right person”
  • Very good benefits plan and 401K with up to 6% match
  • Vehicle and beautiful housing provided
  • Work schedule – mid-morning to right after dinner; must be able to work occasional weekends
