Export Trade Compliance Administrator – In-Office

Duties:

  • Implement and maintain Export Compliance Manual and Operational Procedures Manual and update according to the regulatory changes by US/Canadian governments and other procedural changes
  • Manage and implement effective export compliance programs under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Draft timely export licenses, technical assistance agreements, technology control plans, and other forms of export licensing and documentation/contracts requests for submission to regulatory agencies
  • Analyze products to determine export jurisdiction and commodity classifications Desired Qualifications in ITAR and EAR compliance
  • Review and develop company export/import compliance policies, procedures, and programs for associated entities and ventures in US/Canada
  • Ensure importing, exporting, and supply chain security activities comply with USG laws, implementing regulations, and guidelines
  • Participate in planning, organizing, and supporting company export compliance training; includes online/on-site trainings at branch locations
  • Perform on-site monitoring of personnel performing export services to ensure activities remain within scope of Export Procedures Manual and relevant export authorization requirements
  • Produce high quality written assessments based on monitoring activities
  • Ensure proper and adequate retention of export-related recordkeeping functions and files
  • Respond to inquiries on application of export control regulations and licensing policies/practices/guidelines to international transactions and sales activities
  • Oversee export regulations and compliance with Export Procedure Manual, including proper due diligence procedure and documentation
  • Manage and provide development opportunities to export and import compliance staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/MBA highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with laws and regulations while working with legal counsel
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of export control regulations and licensing policies and practices (ITAR/EAR)
  • Background in Information Assurance and Quality Assurance highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. government agency responsibilities in export licensing review process and interrelationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; with corporate, business unit and U.S. Government counterparts; must be organized with strong ability to multi-task
  • Travel up to 30% may be required
