National Sales Manager

Direct Hire; up to 118K base (somewhat flexible)

North Houston

**Compensation package includes company vehicle, annual sales performance bonus, and benefits

**Valve manufacturing experience is HIGHLY preferred; manufacturing AND distribution A BIG PLUS

Duties:

  • Plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of sales activity
  • Establish and maintain “manufacturer's representatives” in all trading areas, setting sales forecasts, training, and traveling to region when required
  • Direct sales efforts into various industries and markets
  • Develop and sustain product acceptance and approvals at all major users and Engineering/Contractors
  • Establish pricing policies, track market conditions, project sales strategy and tracking
  • Responsible for end-user presentations and selling efforts
  • Lead Regional Sales team
  • Set budgets in conjunction with management and strive to work within these guidelines
  • Work closely with all other departments especially inside sales, engineering, and manufacturing; to sell a product, all concerns within the company must be met
  • Assist in preparation and participation in trade shows, table-tops, product seminars, and sales meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business or similar preferred with 10 – 15 years’ experience
  • Travel is essential; approximately 50% (prefer North America, Canada, and Mexico experience)
  • Valve experience is essential (with type of valve being important, but not essential)
  • Manufacturing is HIGHLY PREFERRED; solely distribution is not preferred
  • Self-starter that can make good decisions
