Human Resources Business Partner – fully in office
Direct Hire; up to 140K + bonuses
Downtown Houston

Duties:
 

  • Act as POC on compensation programs, performance evaluations, talent management, and development
  • Recruit, interview, and advise in selection of team members to fill vacant positions; conduct new employee orientation
  • Plan and administer personnel policies relating to human resources
  • Ensures records are kept of hires, promotions, transfers, performance review, improvement and development plans, and terminations
  • Prepare separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews; look for trends and advise on opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct investigations; prepare reports/recommend procedures to reduce attrition
  • Contract with outside vendors to provide employee training, assistance, out-placement, and temp services
  • Train employees on HR issues and practices; present course materials
  • Consult with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters; determine measures required to enhance job performance and overall company performance
  • Operate as critical member of HR team; collaborate to achieve goals with available resources
  • Maintain culture and assist in resolving supervisor/employee issues/grievances

Education:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in human resources, business administration, industrial psychology, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years HR experience in all employee related matters, modern theory, principles, and practices of HR and talent management, employee classification, compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection, training, and employee relations
  • Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Workday preferred
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with employees, stakeholders, and the public; exemplary communication skills
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with ease and optimal prioritization
  • Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Confident, eager, dedicated, and professional; positive spirit with a can do approach
