Responsibilities

  • Financial Integrity: Ensure that all activities adhere to U.S. GAAP, company policies, and procedures, upholding the highest level of financial accuracy.
  • Policy Enhancement: Collaborate on the implementation of controls, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth and expansion objectives.
  • Month-End Mastery: Contribute to month-end close entries and accruals, meeting established deadlines and bolstering financial statement accuracy.
  • Account Reconciliation: Complete meticulous reconciliation of assigned general and subledger accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements for various management levels.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner closely with business unit leaders, conducting trend analyses, budget-to-actual variance assessments, and addressing discrepancies.
  • Inventory Expertise: Oversee inventory management, including coordinating audits of periodic physical inventories, managing inventory reserves, and conducting distributor program performance analysis.
  • Special Projects: Collaborate with the CFO and Controller on special projects, showcasing your expertise and commitment.

 

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • CPA preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • Five to ten years in financial accounting 
  • Thorough understanding of functional accounting areas and financial analysis and reporting
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
  • Petroleum experience preferred
  • PDI Enterprise Experience a plus
  • Sage 100 Experience a plus

  • Time and task management skills essential
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision to meet deadlines

Work Environment

  • 40-hour on-site work week
