Responsibilities
- Financial Integrity: Ensure that all activities adhere to U.S. GAAP, company policies, and procedures, upholding the highest level of financial accuracy.
- Policy Enhancement: Collaborate on the implementation of controls, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth and expansion objectives.
- Month-End Mastery: Contribute to month-end close entries and accruals, meeting established deadlines and bolstering financial statement accuracy.
- Account Reconciliation: Complete meticulous reconciliation of assigned general and subledger accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements for various management levels.
- Business Collaboration: Partner closely with business unit leaders, conducting trend analyses, budget-to-actual variance assessments, and addressing discrepancies.
- Inventory Expertise: Oversee inventory management, including coordinating audits of periodic physical inventories, managing inventory reserves, and conducting distributor program performance analysis.
- Special Projects: Collaborate with the CFO and Controller on special projects, showcasing your expertise and commitment.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
Knowledge & Experience
- Five to ten years in financial accounting
- Thorough understanding of functional accounting areas and financial analysis and reporting
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
- Petroleum experience preferred
- PDI Enterprise Experience a plus
- Sage 100 Experience a plus
