Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (30 hours per week)
Pay Rate $24-26 hour based on qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bilingual HR Assistant with 2-3 years' experience. Primary focus of this position will be assisting with Payroll and Employee Relations. Must be fully bilingual English/Spanish to translate both verbal and written communications. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support HR Manager and department staff; handle HR issues in absence of HR Manager
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR management.
  • Maintain employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR regulations.
  • Assist in new employee onboarding, including preparing paperwork.
  • Assist with Payroll functions including answering employee questions and explaining corrections
  • Assist HR Manager with planning and execution of special events such as benefit open enrollment, departmental and organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Resources or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent with applicable HR work experience; additional education in HR or internships is a plus
  • 2-3 years' HR experience in a corporate office setting; especially experience in Payroll
  • Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish with verbal and written skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and regulations
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
