Property Engineer
Direct Hire; up to 60K + bonus
Miami, FL

Duties:
 

  • Comply with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety
  • Arrange for subcontractors
  • Perform preventive and operational maintenance programs and practices
  • Possess knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and electrical safety procedures; assist with preventive maintenance program for electrical equipment
  • Possess knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and central plant operations; hold knowledge in chemical treatment; perform basic inspections on chillers
  • Possess understanding of life safety systems and recordkeeping; identify and respond to fire alarms and trouble calls; properly enable or disable points; conduct inspections of emergency generator and fire pumps; records results
  • Repair or replace door closures, hardware, and operators; adjust or repair security systems 
  • Maintain adequate supplies and tools; order materials necessary to complete all tasks
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, growing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value

Qualifications:
 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with 1-2 years’ experience in building operation/maintenance field
  • Universal CFC certification preferred
  • Basic understanding in all shift operations and satisfying work orders
  • Safe and proper use of tools and basic knowledge of the operation of heavy equipment 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; time management and organization; team spirit and positive demeanor; sense of urgency with ability to meet deadlines
  • Computer technology skills including email, smart phones, memos, and spreadsheets
  • Professional and articulate with strong English skills; receive direction and complete tasks and work orders
  • Maintain confidentiality, exceptional follow-through skills, fiscally responsible with good judgement and ability to plan ahead and think “outside the box”
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
