Commercial Title Examiner (Texas)

Responsibilities:
 Title research: Perform in-depth title searches using various public records, databases, and historical documents to establish a clear ownership history of the property.

  • Document review: Analyze property records, deeds, mortgages, surveys, liens, judgments, and other relevant documents to  identify potential title issues or discrepancies.
  • Multistate and builder experience
  • Ownership verification: Confirm legal ownership of the property and identify any encumbrances, restrictions, or claims that may affect the title.
  • Title clearance: Collaborate with internal teams, legal experts, and clients to resolve title issues and facilitate the clearing of title defects.
  • Quality control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of all title examination activities.

 
Qualifications:
 

  • Min 2 years of Title Examination experience, multi-state and acreage knowledge required.  Builder experience a must.  Multistate experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of title examination processes, title insurance, and real estate transactions.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capability to propose solutions to complex title-related challenges.
