Payroll and Benefits Specialist Needed Immediately! Great Heights Location – Zip Code 77018

Responsibilities:

Administer and Process Payroll: Manage payroll processing on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to all legal requirements. Maintain and update payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and taxes.

Manage Employee Benefits Programs: Oversee comprehensive employee benefits administration, including annual open enrollment, managing changes to employee and dependent coverage, and responding to benefit-related inquiries.

Support Leave of Absence Programs: Administer and track various leave of absence programs, including FMLA, LOA, and military leave, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Ensure Tax Compliance: Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local employment tax laws for a multi-state company. Handle state and local tax issues and manage tax registrations for new jurisdictions.

Oversee Retirement Programs: Administer and support retirement programs, ensuring accurate contributions and compliance with relevant regulations for employees at various levels.

Facilitate Payroll and Benefits Queries: Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on payroll and benefits policies, procedures, and any related issues.

Support Audits and Reporting: Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.

Perform Additional Duties: Execute other tasks and assignments as required by management, contributing to overall departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in administering payroll and benefits, with a proven track record of handling complex payroll and benefits processes.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

ADP Expertise: MUST have current experience with ADP systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now, to effectively manage payroll and benefits tasks.

Language Skills: English/Spanish bilingual preferred, to support diverse employee needs and facilitate communication.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas, with experience in PowerPoint, Word, Teams meetings, and webinars. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools.
