Payroll Manager – Multifamily
Direct Hire; flexible and generous base + bonus
Central Houston; 1 day remote

**Bilingual in English/Spanish a big plus
**Full Cycle Payroll Experience – 5+ years; prefer manager/senior level
**Intermediate Excel; need someone more analytical (accounting/finance background helpful)
**Ability to multi-task and work effectively and efficiently under time restraints/high-stress situations
**Multifamily real estate a MUST

Duties:
 

  • Manage 1 person department with full cycle payroll (approx. 750)
  • Train and support company team members in proper use of system
  • Provide exemplary support and customer service with efficiency and positive spirit
  • Prepare accounting GL/cash transfer and payroll-related reports; create and maintain reports
  • Review payroll files and perform due diligence for accuracy
  • Manage and ensure accurate/quality data in spreadsheets and payroll system
  • Execute payroll audits and payroll compliance

Qualifications:
 

  • College degree highly preferred; CPP designation highly preferred
  • 8+ years of payroll experience with GL/allocations in multifamily and construction
  • Skills in payroll law, multi-state payroll, multiple payrolls, full cycle payroll, and payroll tax; bonuses and commissions important
  • Skilled in UKG (or similar) with tech savviness and strong Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, index match)
  • Attention to detail, accurate and efficient, organized, flexibility, and accommodating
  • Strong communication, team-spirited, and passionate about payroll
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and complete diverse tasks
