Law firm currently looking to hire an Attorney

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on defense litigation cases, including drafting legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and other relevant documents.
• Assist in the preparation of discovery requests, responses, and motions.
• Manage and participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including conducting depositions, attending hearings, and representing clients in court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
• Conduct factual investigations, interview witnesses, and gather evidence to support defense strategies.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents to ensure effective defense representation.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files, including electronic documents and correspondence.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with the legal profession’s code of conduct.

 
Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• 2-5 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably with a focus on insurance defense litigation.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in legal research tools and software.
• Strong oral advocacy skills and comfort with courtroom proceedings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
