Inventory Assistant – Fine Jewelry Boutique
Contract-to-Hire Position

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Inventory Assistant to join our luxury fine jewelry boutique. This is a dynamic opportunity to be part of a prestigious retail operation where you’ll play an essential role in inventory management, ensuring our exquisite collection is always well-stocked and impeccably presented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Accurately enter and manage the boutique’s inventory, tracking stock levels and product movement in real-time.
- Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and proactively replenish inventory as needed.
- Reconcile daily deliveries with invoices, ensuring the accuracy of all shipments.
- Place orders to maintain optimal inventory levels without overstocking, while ensuring timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular spot inventories, ensuring all items are accounted for with precision.
- Utilize inventory management software (e.g., EDGE) to track stock and generate insightful reports.
- Regularly report inventory trends, issues, and stock levels to upper management.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective sourcing and reliable supply chains.
- Store Setup & Breakdown:
- Assist in daily store setup, ensuring that jewelry is displayed beautifully and the boutique is retail-ready.
- Prepare the store for daily operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a visually appealing atmosphere.
- Support the evening breakdown process, carefully packing away jewelry and securing products in an organized manner.
- Ensure the boutique remains a secure environment for both inventory and customers at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory management, ideally within a luxury retail environment, with a strong understanding of high-end product handling.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., EDGE), as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
- Ability to track inventory with accuracy and generate detailed, actionable reports.
- Comfortable assisting with store setup and breakdown, including light physical tasks such as arranging displays and handling jewelry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with both team members and vendors.
- Strong reliability, trustworthiness, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM) are a plus.
- A passion for luxury goods and fine jewelry is highly desired.
