Our Client is hiring an Associate Attorney for The Woodlands Office 

This is a full-time position, which can be in-person or hybrid (60/40 in-person/home). We are seeking three to five years’ civil litigation experience; defense experience or medical malpractice experience is a plus. Must be licensed to practice in Texas courts and able to travel to other counties as needed.

What the Associate will be doing:

Responsibilities include handling a substantial caseload of health care liability claims. Tasks performed with partner supervision include:

· research, draft and respond to pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda;

· research, draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions;

· prepare and take depositions of parties and witness;

· retain medical experts and prepare them for deposition or trial;

· draft initial case evaluations and report to clients on a regular basis;

· assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances; and

· interact with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff.
