Job Title: Case Manager – Plaintiff Personal Injury (Catastrophic Injury Cases)
Location: Downtown Houston
Job Type: Full Time In-Office
Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Case Manager to join their dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in supporting attorneys by managing high-value, complex injury cases from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of personal injury law and a strong ability to navigate the medical and legal components of catastrophic injury matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of personal injury cases, particularly those involving catastrophic injuries
- Obtain, review, and summarize medical records and bills
- Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, both digital and physical
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, providing regular updates with professionalism and empathy
- Coordinate medical appointments, lien resolution, and expert evaluations
- Monitor case progress and manage deadlines to ensure timely action
- Collaborate with attorneys, support staff, and external parties to drive cases forward efficiently
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Case Manager in a personal injury law firm (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and records review
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client interactions
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
