Financial Analyst

Director Hire; up to 80K

Downtown Houston

**Heavy emphasis on managing quarterly and annual budget for branches, financial modeling, working with metrics, and short and long term strategic decisions

**Work on several projects simultaneously, while creating reports aimed at identifying cost saving opportunities and process improvement

**Focus on financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting

Duties:

  • Support in preparing short term cash flow forecasting and analysis
  • Support production of monthly management reports, including financial information, key metrics and variance analysis
  • Develop financial models to understand impact of short term operational and long term strategic decisions on value
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecast reviews
  • Support various ad hoc financial analysis requests
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve the financial performance of the business.
  • Drive financial and operational process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
  • 2+ years’ experience in financial planning and business partnering role
  • Microsoft Office Suite – advanced Excel; ERP platform knowledge (Oracle, DAX, AS400)
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, cash flow modeling, forecasting and strategic planning; development of variance and trend financial analysis
  • Strong communication, positive and team-spirited, strong organization, problem-solver, flexible, and solid business acumen
  • Commitment to produce accurate and quality work

  • M-F, 8am to 5pm; non-exempt position
  • Company in business for many years; stable; great company
  • Currently working remotely due to COVID but may initiate rotating schedule
  • Training – safely in person in office
  • Current department is 5; Controller is a great manager
