Accountant | Family Office Manager  

Direct Hire; up to 75K

The Woodlands


  • Establish and maintain a financial and operating environment that is focused on ethical standards and the family's core values
  • Assist with full cycle bookkeeping, administrative and clerical activities
  • Work closely with Principal, existing CPA partnership and other outside professionals/vendors 
  • Responsible for account payables and receivable, and payroll
  • Record vendor invoices, and prepare checks and wire transfers
  • Communicate with vendors and financial institutions
  • Organize invoices, checks and wires for signature
  • Provide detailed information, analysis and support required for tax return preparation and reporting assistance with reconciling various expenses and inter-company accounts
  • Deal with bank account transactions
  • Ensure accurate filing and organization of all electronic and paper documents (scanning, labeling, etc.)
  • Reconcile bank statements, record journal entries, and prepare financial statements
  • Prepare 940s, 941s, W2s, and 1099s
  • Respond to notices from regulatory agencies
  • Create specialized reports to meet the specific needs of each individual family venture
  • Leverage technology to help optimize workflow
  • Work independently and as part of a team on ad-hoc projects
  • Work with very focused and active executive with multiple duties and responsibilities


  • Answer, conduct and direct phone calls
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Format, compose, and proofread correspondence and presentations
  • Coordinate scheduling with corporate office assistant; maintain calendar and manage reminders
  • Create and maintain family office database


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 3 years’ experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills; tech savvy; skill in diverse accounting software programs
  • Discretion and the utmost in confidentiality a must; must sign NDA agreement
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Remain flexible to adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of a new family office/business
  • Mature, professional and excellent judgment
  • Excellent and efficient communication skills via phone, in person and via email
  • Must work well independently
