Accounts Payable Manager

Direct Hire; up to 75K

McKinney, Texas

Duties:

• Manage accounts payable functions to include vendor relations, and AP team handling of all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters for ERP systems
• Manage accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting; ensures accuracy and timeliness
• Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Provide accounting assistance to managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
• Act as liaison to meet information needs and to ensure proper information is maintained for historical purposes
• Train and evaluate employees to enhance performance, development, and work product; address performance issues and make recommendations; motivate and reward employees

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience and 2+ years of leadership experience A MUST
• Oil and gas experience A PLUS
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Must have QuickBooks Desktop expertise; solid technology and software experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player, great mentor and strong leadership
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good presentation skills and professionalism; good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
