Landscape Construction Manager

Direct Hire; up to 90K + bonus

Central Houston



  • Responsible for the development and resourcing of new landscape projects
  • Direct implementation of construction, alteration and installation of diverse projects
  • Coordinate personnel, resources, materials, and communication needed to assure smooth and efficient landscape construction activities
  • Act as project manager for the organization and direct supervision of operations/activities related to the construction and maintenance of new landscape installation
  • Establish and update a working project installation calendar, create delivery timelines and stage product for installation crews and subcontractors, ensuring all services are performed in a safe and timely manner
  • Procure materials and supplies from approved vendors; manage crew paperwork related to job costing
  • Hire, train, mentor and supervise to include safety training, payroll reporting, and field quality control of landscape construction personnel
  • Ensure consistent team member referrals and reduced attrition; maintain a pipeline of valuable construction team members 
  • Ensure teams are properly onboarded, trained and committed to optimal client satisfaction
  • Utilize resources productively and conduct quality checks to ensure all standards are strictly maintained
  • Assist in development and preparation of department budget; review budgetary and financial data; monitor expenditures and provide recommendations
  • Manage maintenance metrics to include revenue, expenses, labor costs, and customer satisfaction rating



  • College degree in landscape and/or construction related field highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a landscape construction and project management required; strong business and financial acumen;  Texas Licensing & Green Industry Certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of horticultural, irrigation systems, field layout, design/estimating, etc.; eye for meticulous attention to fine details in the landscape; teach by example and train staff on proper construction and installation techniques
  • Solid Microsoft Office Skills; computer literate and tech savvy
  • Motivated, self-starter with proven leadership skills; motivate and encourage team spirit and collaboration; strong work ethic 
  • Exceptional customer service/communication; multi-task to accommodate client preferences
  • Required to adhere to and enforce all company policies, standards and safety guidelines, work with other employees as a team, and meet or exceed company production rates set forth
