Landscape Maintenance Manager

Direct Hire; up to 80K + bonus

Central Houston




  • Provide oversite and management for a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions including mowing, water management, trimming, pruning, weeding, edging, fertilizer and herbicide applications
  • Be a presence in 200+ client accounts, establishing a rapport with clientele regarding the ongoing care of their property
  • Hire, manage, and motivate teams; ensure consistent team member referrals and reduced attrition; maintain a pipeline of crew members 
  • Ensure crews are properly onboarded, trained and committed to optimal client satisfaction
  • Organize and establish planning and scheduling necessary to ensure all services are performed in a safe and timely manner
  • Oversee service teams (crews) as they progress through the work week
  • Utilize resources productively and conduct quality checks to ensure all standards are strictly maintained
  • Assist in development and preparation of department budget; review budgetary and financial data; monitor expenditures and provide recommendations
  • Manage maintenance metrics to include revenue, expenses, labor costs, and customer satisfaction rating




  • High school diploma required; some college preferred (horticulture or landscape)
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in high end commercial and residential landscape maintenance; strong business and financial acumen
  • Texas Licensing & Green Industry Certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of horticulturally proper maintenance practices; an eye for meticulous attention to fine details in the landscape
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and programming; ability to identify weeds, insects, and plant diseases
  • Understand and instruct proper pruning practices and turf management
  • Strong knowledge of annual flowers, perennials, shrubs, trees, and planting materials
  • Knowledge of and be competent in the operation of landscaping equipment
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills; computer literate and tech savvy  
  • Motivated, self-starter with proven leadership skills; motivate and encourage team spirit and collaboration; strong work ethic 
  • Exceptional customer service/communication; multi-task to accommodate client preferences
  • Required to adhere to and enforce all company policies, standards and safety guidelines, work with other employees as a team, and meet or exceed company production rates set forth
