Sr. Collections Manager

 

Summary:  Looking for a Sr. Collections Manager. This position will support the credit and collections processes including credit reviews, credit limits and AR portfolio in accordance with policy, procedures and controls.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required preferred College level coursework and/or 8+ years    relevant work experience with at least three years management experience
  • Must possess knowledge of different state lien laws
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of third-party credit agencies and using the published information for credit risk assessments
  • Demonstrated clear and effective written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Mastery of basic accounting skills
  • Knowledge of cash application process

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise the daily collection of outstanding receivables; manage collectors (2) to optimize performance and results
  • Ensure that credit and collection policies, procedures, practices, and documentation meet company guidelines
  • Analyze accounts performance, recommend action on past due and investigate bankruptcy claims
  • Generate formal notices, demand letters and work with general counsel and 3rd party collection agency to collect on delinquent accounts
  • Quarterly bad debt review analysis
  • Interface and assist with both sales and operations with data for customers regarding delinquency, daily sales outstanding (DSO), and payment history
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management
  • Knowledge of Texas Lien Laws
