Use your resume to brand yourself, which means that you should let your resume work for you. If you are a computer engineer, and you pad your resume with internships, freelance jobs, and temp work with companies where you were able to get experience, then you can make it to the top of the pile.

This doesn’t mean that you take random jobs that don’t relate to your niche, try to find things that are unique experiences and are within your field. Apply For Jobs That You Think Are Out Of Reach

Just because a job site lists the qualifications for a job and you don’t meet 100% of them doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply. These guidelines are showing what the company is looking for in an ideal candidate, which may not be out there at the moment, or could be someone that is already working.

If you meet a good amount of the qualifications, but you haven’t used the system that the company works on, then that is something you can be trained on. This shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
