Cost and Inventory Accountant

To 40$ hourly
- Financial accounting, analysis and reconciliations including income, expenses and capital expenditures and fixed assets and inventory
- Prepare accounting entries and in-progress transactions ·
- Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations as prepared by the team to lower risk and ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review and approve medium to high risk journal entries as prepared by the team
- Prepare, review and input journal entries for month-end close
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and Annual close
- Analyze, investigate and resolve accounting and control issues in accordance with company policies
- Prepare and analyze financial records and reports
- Prepare account reconciliations and analysis including cash and bank, intercompany and general ledger.
- Analyze variances, communicate results and provides support to operational areas in understanding and managing variances.
- Participate in continuous improvement and champion best practices and improvements to transactional accuracy
- Perform SOX controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Acct or Finance
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 yr of Financial Analysis
- Prefer manufacturing experience
- Prior knowledge of fixed assets
- Great Advanced Excel and accounting software skills
- Prior experience with SAP or another ERP system
- Excellent communication
