Houston Litigation firm adding a 3–6 years in civil litigation, insurance defense, or catastrophic injury
Ideal attorney will have a focus in: Premises Liability & Inadequate Security (Retail Defense) and Commercial Auto & Wrongful Death Defense.
Successful team is defending national retailers, commercial landlords, trucking companies, and insurers in high-stakes disputes. You will have autonomy to build your cases, collaborating directly with investigators, meet clients onsite, and shape defense strategies.
You will need the skills to own and manage a caseload of premises liability, negligent security, or commercial auto and wrongful death cases.
· Conduct depositions (fact, medical, expert), site visits, accident reconstructions, and witness interviews.
· Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgments and expert challenges.
· Appear in state and federal courts to advocate for high-profile clients.
· Collaborate with retail risk managers, insurers, and in-house legal teams on strategy.
· Advise clients on liability exposure, settlement options, and trial posture.
Credentials needed
· JD from an accredited law school
· Active member of the Texas Bar
· 3–6 years of litigation experience in civil, insurance defense, auto/trucking, or tort
· Proven deposition and motion writing skills
· Strong communicator and effective time manager
