Structuring Analyst – RNG (UPDATED)
(Houston, TX / Hybrid 1 day remote)
Leading and well-known publicly traded Renewable energy client undergoing expansion is seeking an experienced originatioin structuring analyst in Houston, TX.
Role Description and Accountabilities
- Structure RNG transactions to optimize and monetize commodities, including physical natural gas, RINs, LCFS credits, and CFP credits.
- Identify and initiate new monetization opportunities through emerging regulatory and market-based programs.
- Lead discussions on market events and trends affecting differentiated gas markets in North America and abroad.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to ensure compliance with commodity exposure policies.
- Assess long-term and short-term strategies and identify areas for data analysis improvement, such as fleet and RNG production data.
- Communicate strategic insights to senior management and functional leaders regarding trading, commercial strategy, and analytical findings.
- Track and manage updates on regulatory and legislative changes impacting RNG and environmental attributes, working closely with Compliance, Finance, and Fleet teams.
- Provide support to other business units related to RNG and related commercial activities.
- Conduct market analysis to identify commercial opportunities based on macro and micro trends.
- Research opportunities to enhance commercial economics and minimize risk in renewable markets.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Finance, Accpunting, STEM or closely related business discipline.
- Experience: 1-5 years in analytics, energy optimization, and structuring RNG transactions in the Voluntary RNG market is highly preferred
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of North American RNG voluntary and compliance markets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with physical natural gas market logistics and environmental attribute management platforms.
- Strong teamwork and self-motivation.
