Senior Trade Accountant
Role Description:
Trade Accounting team is comprised of high-achieving individuals who have a proven history of expanding their value-added impact far more broadly than a traditional accounting role would allow. In addition to managing the monthly reporting to management, they provide expert accounting knowledge in allowing management to see the link between trader PnL and accounting PnL. The Trade Accounting team plays a vital role in the client's organization as they are responsible for timely and accurate reporting to help guide management in their decisions. This role would interact closely with many groups to function as a liaison between them to ensure that financials are accurate, having direct exposure to Operations, Risk, Business Development, and Management.
Specific Job Duties Include:
– Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and related processes in a timely manner.
– Assist in the reconciliation between trader PnL and accounting PnL.
– Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information.
– Partners across functions in and outside of the finance organization to act as a liaison between the groups.
– Participate in process improvement initiatives leading to continuous operational excellence.

Qualifications:
– 3+ years of work experience in accounting
– Prior Big 4 or commodity trading shop experience is preferred
– Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required
– Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
– Experience with Right Angle or Symphony is a plus
– CPA certification is a plus
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Because of the collaborative, fast-paced, and high energy nature of the business, they require team members to work onsite from their fully equipped office
