Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team in complex medical-related litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, records, and procedures, and will play a key role in analyzing medical evidence and preparing cases for trial or settlement.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, analyze, and summarize medical records for use in litigation.

Prepare medical chronologies, timelines, and summaries for attorney review.

Coordinate and manage the collection of medical records from healthcare providers.

Identify missing records or inconsistencies and follow up as needed.

Communicate with medical experts, clients, and witnesses regarding medical aspects of the case.

Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediation, and trial.

Maintain detailed records, databases, and case files in compliance with firm protocols.

Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery related to medical issues.

Support attorneys with document production and organization.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical paralegal, preferably in a defense firm.

Proficiency in medical terminology and record analysis is required.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with Texas court procedures and rules.

Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
