Material Handler
Indefinite Temp; up to $20
Wink, TX
Duties:
- Use NetSuite to perform picking duties to fill internal customer demand
- Audit picked product to ensure quality and accuracy
- Pack orders following internal processes and procedures to ensure zero non-conformities upon delivery
- Load outbound shipments in accordance with all internal processes and procedures.
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment in the course of daily activities.
- Assist with investigating and correction any discrepancies as they arise.
- Perform routine housekeeping and maintenance of warehouse.
- Audit and receive incoming product per internal receiving processes and procedures.
- Communicate to supervisor/manager on issues and concerns as they arise.
- Load and offload all incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Load/Block/Brace and/or heat shrink product for shipment.
- Track and report activities performed during the workday as required by supervisor/manager.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with the resolution of inventory issues.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; must be 18 years of age
- Forklift operation experience/certification a PLUS
- 1 year of experience in warehouse or inventory position preferred
- Knowledge of NetSuite preferred; solid Microsoft Office required
- Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of an organization
- Adapt in a fast-paced environment where change is a constant
- Professional, tactful, and discrete when handling sensitive and confidential information
Other Info:
- Growing and thriving oil and gas related client with corporate office in Houston
- Must be able to travel from Wink location and the Felix Man Map location as needed
- Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record
Important:
- Must have excellent attendance and buy-in; this is a great opportunity
- Primary duties are cycle counts, material transaction sign outs, and receiving
- Cycle Counts – imperative that they are correct, accurate, and if not that the corrections are both made on the shelf and communicated to leadership a worksheet correction can be made in computer; this is a great way to learn warehouse inventory; every part has a number and location assigned to it
- Material Transaction Sign Outs – penmanship, spelling, and accuracy of paperwork is critical; stellar communication with the person requesting the part for allocating costs to the correct well, region, etc. is crucial
- Receiving – everything is process driven and need to stay committed to the process
- Repair and rebuild program for motors – they can weigh up 6500lbs and need to safely operate forklift
