Boutique commercial litigation firm is adding a position for managing shareholder.
Defense experience required – insurance defense litigation helpful.
Our client is seeking an energetic, reliable, and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Our client is growing and looking for a team player with a professional and positive attitude who would like to grow with the firm. To secure an interview – candidate will be technologically savvy, with experience using electronic databases, such as iManage and ShareFile, be proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Responsibilities will include preparing documents for court filing, including e-filing in federal, state and local courts. Document preparation may include drafting, typing, formatting, proofreading for accuracy, grammar, and punctuation, and red-lining client correspondence including engagement agreements, pleadings and motions, discovery/e-discovery correspondence, document collection and production assistance, preparation of depo and medical record summaries, trial notebook preparation, calendaring, generating indexes, chronologies, and privilege logs and trial preparation.
The legal secretary will understand the court rules and procedures and calendaring or how to go about obtaining that information from the various courts. The legal secretary may also be responsible for scheduling, setting up, and/or calendaring Zoom (or other electronic format) client meetings, depositions, document productions, court hearings and appearances, and trials. In this role you will coordinate travel arrangements as necessary.
Administrative tasks to include coordinating with accounting on conflict checks, new matter forms and billing review.
