Part – Time Desktop Support Associate
Immediate Opportunity – Needed ASAP!
Contract to Hire in Downtown Houston
Pay to $27 hourly
15-20 hours weekly with some hybrid opportunities
Join our team as a Desktop Support Associate at an esteemed nonprofit arts organization. Your role will involve providing hands-on desktop support and ensuring seamless IT operations to enhance the organization’s efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Provide general help desk support to facilitate a customer service-oriented environment where all departments are encouraged to seek help and are satisfied with the guidance provided.
- Approximately 15 hours per week as first-line desktop support, some work can be done remotely, but will require on-site availability for 2 to 3 days a week.
- Provide end-user troubleshooting of peripherals, printing, and workstations, as needed.
- Support all installed software, including Windows, Microsoft 365 suite, and Citrix.
- Keep current on technology and business application trends and best practices, and lead projects related to implementing such best practices.
- Provide analytics regarding the organization’s IT usage.
- Attend weekly scheduled virtual IT team meetings.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 suite, and Citrix software.
- Ability to provide analytics on IT usage within the organization.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in a nonprofit or arts organization would be advantageous.
- An Associate’s degree in IT or related field would be preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Availability for approximately 15 -20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work remotely and onsite for 2-3 days a week.
- Attendance at weekly virtual IT team meetings to collaborate on projects and initiatives.
