Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant with experience in commercial real estate to join our team. This role is responsible for the full-cycle accounting of assigned properties, including financial reporting, lease administration, and CAM/tax/insurance recovery calculations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of property accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly property financial statements

Calculate and reconcile annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM), property tax, and insurance recoveries

Set up and maintain lease records in Yardi, including operating expense recovery schedules

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate lease input and interpretation

Monitor daily cash balances and perform bank reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of annual property operating budgets

Calculate and process monthly management fees

Ensure accurate processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Support the setup of new projects under the guidance of the Accounting Manager
Qualifications:

3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience in commercial real estate

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with property management/accounting software; Yardi Voyager preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
