Junior Attorney – In-House Counsel (Houston, TX)
Commercial Real Estate Services Company
A nationally recognized commercial real estate enterprise is seeking a junior-level attorney to support its Real Estate Services division, based in Houston, TX. This in-house role offers broad exposure to both litigation and transactional matters, with the opportunity to grow across multiple legal disciplines in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation:
- Provide legal advice and counsel related to a nationwide litigation docket.
- Manage outside counsel through all phases of disputes and litigation.
- Support the development of effective legal strategies and cost-control practices.
Transactional/Corporate:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts while learning key risk and contractual concepts.
- Conduct legal research on litigation, corporate, real estate, and commercial law issues.
- Assist in the development of contract templates and legal guidance materials.
- Gain a strong understanding of business operations to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar (or other U.S. state bar).
- 2–5 years of litigation or transactional experience (law firm or in-house).
- Excellent multitasking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
