Manager, Capital Projects
Direct Hire; up to 195K + bonus
Prefer Midland; open to HTX
- Travel to project locations for progress checks, startups, commissioning, etc.
Duties:
- Design surface facility/pipeline projects and manage thru execution
- Manage and coordinate project approvals, engineering design, procurement, construction, budget, and onsite commissioning/startup
- Work with Ops, Engineering, and internal groups to provide cost estimates for potential projects and AFEs for internal projects
- Manage capital project budgets to ensure cost estimating and project scoping for ROI
- Supervise construction team
- Collaborate with Procurement/Supply Chain to maximize value on contractor/vendor selection and allocation, inclusive of nurturing vendor relationships for timely and cost-efficient deliverables
- Advise on economic models for potential projects with BD/Corporate Development
- Provides technical knowledge related to contract language/structure based on project scopes.
- Collaborates with Land department on projects including but not limited to pipeline routing, ROW status, survey and alignment sheet creation, landowner construction requirements and exclusivity to royalties
- Provide oversight of contract compliance and general reporting
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements for existing and future projects, including permitting and safety regulations
- Lead by example on company policies and procedures, including JSAs, Training, Incident Reports, and Safety Observations
- Participate, review and approve assigned procurement process inclusive of PO and invoices
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff, including identifying areas of development; approve timesheets timely and accurately; participate in performance management, hiring, development and disciplinary processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering with Facility Engineering and Supervisory experience preferred
- HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Pipeline Construction experience highly preferred
- 8 years oil and gas experience
- Strong understanding of system hydraulics including modeling software; strong organization, planning and time-management skills; strong communication and ability to build relationships
- Microsoft Office Suite; proactive problem-solver with strong critical and analytic skills in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, tactful, and discrete
