Records and Information Contractor – Downtown Houston

Pay Rate $23-25 hour depending on experience, plus $13 daily parking reimbursement
100% onsite position
Office hours Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm
Job Objective:
This position will provide support for the organization, verification, and validation of records either current or acquired from other companies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- The Records and Information Contractor will participate in the indexing, classification, labeling and filing of the paper and (potentially) electronic records
Qualifications:
- **MUST HAVE ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for extended periods of time
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry and organizational skills
- Experience in chain-of-custody of records movement with outside vendors preferred
- Experience in the receipt and shipping of records with offsite vendors
- Ensure data quality, capture metadata, organize and classify records
- Manage time and complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
- Successfully execute multi-step projects without close supervision
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public
Software Requirements:
- Knowledge of and ability to use: MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft TEAMS, Zoom
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with some technical training and/or college level education in records management, library science or archives administration considered a plus
