Plaintiff-side trial firm handling mass tort, toxic tort, pharmaceutical, and catastrophic injury litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and litigate mass tort / product liability cases from intake through trial or resolution
- Handle large dockets of cases (often 50–100+ depending on role seniority)
- Conduct case development, including fact investigation and medical record analysis
- Draft and argue:
- Pleadings
- Motions
- Discovery
- Depositions
- Coordinate with:
- Co-counsel across jurisdictions
- Experts (medical, liability, damages)
- Participate in trial preparation and trial work (firm is very trial-focused)
- Negotiate settlements and maximize client recovery (including lien resolution strategy)
- Manage multi-jurisdictional filings and deadlines
(These duties are inferred from both associate and paralegal roles supporting case-managing attorneys and full lifecycle litigation responsibility.)
Typical Qualifications
- J.D. from accredited law school + licensed (TX or transferable)
- ~2–5+ years of experience in:
- Mass torts
- Toxic torts
- Asbestos / pharmaceutical litigation
- OR complex plaintiff litigation
- Strong experience with:
- Discovery + depositions
- Motion practice
- Case management across large dockets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment
- Trial experience or strong desire to try cases (big cultural point at this firm)
