HR Co-Op Student Intern – Downtown Houston
Part -Time 20-30 hours week
$20-23 hour

Seeking a first or second-year HR College Co-op student for paid internship up to 3 years
MUST BE a local Houston-based student!
Pay rate $20-23 hour based on candidate qualifications
Temp assignment for 2-3 years based on candidate degree plan
Need someone who is organized, detail focused, a self starter who can keep up with multiple priorities at once!!
Job Objective:
Provides administrative and technical support to assist the Human Resources Department in the delivery of various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Distribute HR correspondence and mail.
- Send out welcome letters, core value mugs and assists with new hire desk setups.
- Assist in organizing special events, Holiday parties, Wall of Fame, etc.
- Assist in auditing and purchase of Harvest logo merchandise.
- Assist the human resources department with various projects including creating and updating forms, typing correspondence, and creating spreadsheets and document templates.
- Maintain sufficient supplies of human resources forms and other materials such as company logo merchandise, recruitment packets and new hire orientation folders.
- Upload employee files into Workday including but not limited to new hire forms, conflict of interest forms, gift approval forms.
- Maintain company photo files.
- Update HR forms and handbook as directed.
- Assist the staffing team with scheduling interviews.
- Assist with gathering information for the yearly calendar.
- Assist with sorting and distribution of service awards, compliance posters, calendars etc.
- Assist with putting together materials and set-ups for trainings, orientations, meetings etc.
- Assist with logging and submitting HR invoices to Accounts Payable department.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Assist in recruitment activities (Ex: Career Fairs & other campus activities).
- Assist in generating surveys/feedback /debriefs.
- Maintain employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: Currently enrolled as Freshman or Sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in human resources, business administration, industrial psychology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of a 3.25 GPA.
- Willing to work 20-29 hours a week
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Preferred: Microsoft Teams and Workday
