We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and a passion for helping members resolve account issues with professionalism and care. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to offer solutions that align with members’ financial needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve member account collections in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate with members regarding outstanding balances, payment options, and account status
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to accounts
- Negotiate and establish payment arrangements that meet both member needs and company guidelines
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of member communications and payment agreements
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure account accuracy and overall member satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to assist members with financial solutions and account resolution strategies
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and collections/account management software
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
