Technical Valve Manager – in office
Direct Hire; up to 175K + bonus
Southeast Houston
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Valve Technical Manager to lead a valve division as an independent but integrated business unit, driving growth, profitability, and operational alignment across projects, sales, and daily operations
Own agreements, manufacturer alignment, inventory strategy, and team development to achieve sustainable revenue and market leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary customer contact for valve and automation inquiries
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and technical submittals
- Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
- Coordinate sourcing, delivery timelines, and commercial negotiations
- Execute valve sales strategy with Sales leadership to drive revenue, margin, and growth
- Lead, train, and develop a high-performing sales and commercial team
- Optimize product portfolio and ensure strategic market fit
- Manage inventory strategy, availability, and obsolescence reduction
- Grow key accounts, expand market share, and pursue new opportunities
- Act as liaison with global technical teams to align strategies and identify synergies
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years valve experience in distribution or manufacturing, ideally mid and downstream focus
- Engineering degree and API qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of valves, automation, modifications, drawings, and quality systems
- Project handling experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
