Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary to support attorneys in a busy estate planning, probate, and trust administration practice. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and committed to providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Assist with probate filings and court documents
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and court personnel
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
- Coordinate document signings, notary services, and execution of estate planning documents
- Organize and maintain client files and records
- Assist with correspondence, legal research, and estate/trust tax filings
- Provide general administrative and legal support
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of secretarial experience; estate planning experience preferred
- Knowledge of estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- Familiarity with court filing systems and legal terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management, and legal billing software
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience with Westlaw, GEMS, Interactive Legal Suite, and FlexDraft is a plus.
