Accounting Clerk
Direct Hire | Cypress, TX
Salary: Up to $50,000
Schedule: Full-Time, In Office
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Cypress. This position is responsible for job costing, customer invoicing, and day-to-day accounting support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Field Point, working knowledge of NetSuite, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Open and close jobs in Field Point, ensuring accurate job cost tracking from start to finish
- Prepare, review, and process customer invoices through Field Point
- Support month-end close and job reconciliation activities
- Enter and maintain accounting data within NetSuite
- Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Coordinate with project managers and field personnel to verify job status, scope changes, and billing information
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for reporting and audit purposes
- Utilize Corrigo to support tracking and reporting activities as needed
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience opening and closing jobs and processing invoices in Field Point required
- Working knowledge of NetSuite required
- Experience with Corrigo preferred
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience, preferably within construction, power generation, field services, or a related industry
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
- One to three years of accounting clerk or related accounting support experience preferred
