The firm will focus on humanitarian immigration law, with an emphasis on removal defense, deportation proceedings, asylum, human trafficking, and other humanitarian matters.
This is a unique opportunity to join a firm at launch, take significant ownership of legal work, and become the public-facing attorney and professional voice of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in humanitarian immigration matters, particularly removal and deportation defense.
- Manage cases independently and appear in immigration court.
- Provide strategic, ethical, and compassionate legal counsel.
- Collaborate with remote paralegal, marketing, and technology teams.
- Travel to other states for hearings as needed.
- Participate in webinars, videos, educational content, and other professional-brand initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Texas Bar license and good standing.
- Approximately 3+ years of immigration law experience.
- Strong experience with removal defense/deportation proceedings.
- Fluent Spanish.
- Based in Houston, Texas.
- Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
- Passion for serving immigrant communities.
- Comfortable with public speaking, video, social media, and professional brand development.
Experience with asylum, human trafficking, abuse-related cases, and other humanitarian immigration matters is highly valued.
You will not be expected to bring your own clients. The firm will provide marketing and business-development support.
