Estate Planning Paralegal
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: In-Office
Experience: 5+ Years Preferred
Our client, a well-established Dallas law firm, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join its team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned paralegal with a strong background in estate planning, trusts, and probate administration to work alongside experienced attorneys handling sophisticated estate planning matters.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while providing a high level of service to attorneys and clients. Current Texas Notary Public commission is preferred.
What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in Estate Planning, Trusts & Estates, and/or Probate Administration

Strong knowledge of estate planning documents, trust administration, and probate procedures

Experience drafting and preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, and other ancillary estate planning documents

Experience assisting with probate and estate administration

Texas Notary Public commission preferred

Ability to assist with and coordinate estate planning document execution and notarization
-
Ability to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, and important deadlines
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Comfortable communicating directly with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other professionals

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
High level of discretion when handling confidential financial and family information

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Draft and prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, and other estate planning documents
-
Assist attorneys throughout the estate planning process, from initial client intake through document execution
-
Coordinate and assist with will and estate planning document signings, witness requirements, and notarization
-
Support probate, estate, and trust administration from initiation through final distribution

Prepare asset inventories, accountings, beneficiary information, and related documentation

Assist with the collection and organization of financial and asset information

Coordinate document execution and client meetings

Organize and maintain client records, digital files, and estate planning documentation
-
Track important estate planning and administration deadlines

Communicate regularly with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, accountants, and other professionals

Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and firm leadership

We’re looking for someone who combines strong Estate Planning knowledge with excellent client service. You should be comfortable working independently, anticipating attorney and client needs, and seeing projects through from beginning to end.
The right person will be organized, dependable, adaptable, and proactive, with the judgment and professionalism necessary to work with sensitive estate, financial, and family matters.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred

Current Texas Notary Public commission preferred
