Downtown Dallas law firm seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Legal Assistant to support attorneys and ensure the efficient operation of the firm. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative and legal support tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys

Prepare, draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines

File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies (electronic and/or physical)

Maintain and organize case files and client records
-
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
-
Conduct basic legal and factual research as directed
-
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and phone communications

Assist with billing, time entry, and expense tracking as needed

Ensure compliance with firm policies, court rules, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
-
Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a law office preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal practice software

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality

Familiarity with court filing systems and legal terminology

Experience supporting litigation, transactional, or specialized practice areas (as applicable)
