Senior Accountant

Direct Hire | Up to $120K

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing organization and work closely with the Controller on day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, analysis, and process improvement

This is a hands-on accounting role for someone who enjoys being involved in the details while also looking for opportunities to improve processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience supporting a Controller or senior accounting leader, and the ability to use data and technology to make the accounting function more efficient

NetSuite experience is a strong plus and will provide an opportunity to take ownership of system optimization, reporting, workflows, and user support as a secondary component of the role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Assist with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and management reporting
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Help maintain accurate and timely accounting records across the organization
• Support the Controller with process improvements and accounting initiatives
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to improve visibility for management
• Partner with operations and leadership on accounting-related projects and business initiatives
• Serve as a key NetSuite user and resource, supporting system functionality and optimization
• Assist with NetSuite reporting, workflows, integrations, testing, and user training
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through better use of technology and automation
• Document processes and help develop scalable accounting procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close
• Experience supporting a Controller, CFO, or senior accounting leadership
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and recommend process improvements
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
