Director of Procurement & Estimating
Up to $150K + bonus | Fully in office
NW Houston

Procurement & Vendor Management

Build procurement strategies that maximize cost, quality, and value
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure best pricing and terms
Develop rebate programs, freight agreements, extended terms, and strategic partnerships
Centralize procurement and maintain accurate pricing data; monitor market trends, pricing, and availability

PO & Financial Controls

Oversee PO review and approval; ensure alignment with budgets and standards
Review deposits for compliance; partner with Accounting/AP on invoice discrepancies
Establish controls that improve purchasing efficiency and accountability

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop Procurement and Estimating Managers
Set KPIs and productivity metrics; build a culture of accountability and growth
Support hiring, performance, development, and retention
Grow Managers into independent, effective leaders

Operational Excellence

Direct performance of both departments; drive process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and profitability
Evaluate procedures, workflows, and systems; partner with Operations, Sales, Accounting, HR, IT, and Executive Leadership
Deliver actionable reporting on performance and opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or related field
10+ years procurement experience, ideally in (multifamily) construction
5+ years leadership experience
Proven vendor negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier management results
Strong grasp of procurement, estimating, budgeting, and construction ops
ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Independent, composed under pressure, with high integrity and attention to detail
