Senior Mortgage Closer/Funder (Sr. Closer) — Short Job Post
We’re hiring a Senior Mortgage Closer/Funder to manage the end-to-end closing and funding process for high-volume, complex loans. You’ll be the final checkpoint before funding—ensuring documents, fees, disclosures, and timelines (TRID) are accurate, compliant, and completed on time. You’ll also handle escalations and help improve closing/funding workflows and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Review/prepare Closing Disclosures (CDs), loan docs, and escrow/title instructions
- Manage closing packages, fee reconciliation, and TRID compliance
- Lead funding: wire requests, funding review, and authorization
- Resolve complex closing/funding issues; partner with title/escrow and internal teams
- Support post-closing items like investor conditions, trailing docs, and purchase suspense
- Participate in system enhancements, including UAT and issue triage
Requirements
- 4+ years mortgage closing + funding experience (senior/lead level)
- Strong TRID and state disclosure knowledge
- Post-closing exposure (investor conditions/trailing docs/purchase suspense)
- Experience with LOS + doc prep/closing platforms
- Able to read/interpret XML/MISMO
Plus: Broker/correspondent experience.
