LOA – Licensed (Loan Officer Assistant) – remote
Overview
Seeking a Licensed Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to support borrowers through intake and early loan stages, ensure accurate/complete files for Processing, and deliver disclosures on time while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support and educate clients through the intake process and toward loan closing
- Collect, review, and validate application data and documentation for accuracy/completeness
- Serve as the primary client point of contact; set clear expectations on timelines and requirements
- Deliver initial loan disclosures in a timely manner and ensure regulatory adherence
- Manage standard files independently; escalate complex scenario/guideline questions to Team Leads
- Ensure loans originate in compliance with federal and state lending regulations
Qualifications
- Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License
- 4+ years mortgage experience (broker experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Conventional Conforming and Jumbo guidelines
- Working knowledge of TRID, HMDA, state licensing/registration requirements, and NMLS
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; adaptable to change
- Wholesale/correspondent channel experience a plus
