Attorney – Bankruptcy & Student Loan Debt Relief (Relocation to San Juan, PR)
Full-time | Direct Hire | In-office (Hato Rey)
A rapidly growing consumer debt relief practice is hiring an Attorney to handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, including related court appearances/hearings and some adversary proceedings tied to student loan relief (training/support provided). You’ll serve clients in multiple U.S. states (mainland). No Puerto Rico bar license required and you will not practice Puerto Rico law.
Responsibilities
- Manage Chapter 7/13 matters and case workflow
- Appear in hearings (often remote depending on jurisdiction)
- Communicate directly with clients and guide them through the process
Requirements
- Active bar license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state a plus)
- Strong courtroom/appearance confidence and client communication skills
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Willing to relocate to San Juan, Puerto Rico
Comp & benefits
- $100,000–$250,000 base (DOE) + bonus potential
- Medical/dental/vision
- Relocation assistance up to $10,000–$15,000
- $10,000 moving bonus (tenure/repayment terms apply)
