Plaintiff Trial Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Paralegal to join our growing boutique litigation firm in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organized professional who enjoys being heavily involved in high-stakes litigation and trial preparation. You will work directly with trial attorneys, manage cases from inception through trial, and play a critical role in securing successful outcomes for clients.
Because of our collaborative, team-oriented environment, this is a fully onsite position that offers direct attorney mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of plaintiff personal injury and complex litigation matters from filing through resolution.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, medical authorizations, and trial-related documents.
- Coordinate and organize medical records, billing records, expert materials, and case files.
- Assist with written discovery, document production, and deposition preparation.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert meetings while maintaining litigation calendars and deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, court personnel, opposing counsel, and experts throughout the life of each case.
- Prepare exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, and demonstrative evidence for mediation and trial.
- Support attorneys during hearings, mediations, and trials, including in-court assistance as needed.
- Maintain case management systems and ensure all files remain organized and trial-ready.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of plaintiff litigation or trial paralegal experience.
- Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and state court filing procedures.
- Experience supporting attorneys through trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation case management software.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
