ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR
Professional Alternatives has partnered with one of our best long-term clients to identify an Accounts Payable Supervisor for its Dallas-area team. We have made multiple successful placements with this organization and consistently hear excellent feedback about the culture, leadership and work environment.
This is also a hybrid opportunity and an excellent chance for an experienced AP professional ready to take the next step in their career. Our client will consider an existing Supervisor or a strong Senior AP Clerk/Specialist who is ready to move into leadership.
THE ROLE
- Supervise and support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices
- Oversee vendor statement reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Monitor AP performance, service levels and processing accuracy
- Coach and train team members while helping improve processes
- Identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and automation
- Assist with reporting, system enhancements and process improvements
- Support proper invoice coding and inventory-related payables
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience
- Strong 3-way match / inventory payables experience
- Large-volume vendor statement reconciliation experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Leadership experience preferred, but we will consider someone ready for their first supervisory opportunity
- Experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing or another multi-site environment strongly preferred
- Eclipse experience is a plus
